Return Policy

You have the right to submit a return request within 14 days of receiving your purchase. You can submit the return request via our service page: https://www.fatbikeklaar.nl/pages/service. After approval of your request, you have 14 days to return the product or have it picked up. Returns without prior notification or without valid proof of purchase will not be accepted.

Pickup Costs Netherlands

  • Pickup of an unused fatbike in a box: €49.00
  • Pickup of an assembled fatbike: €69.00
  • Return of accessories or parts: €4.95
  • Additional costs for incorrect preparation (e.g., not disassembled or poorly packaged): €25.00

Pickup Costs Belgium

  • Pickup of an unused fatbike in a box: €79.00
  • Pickup of an assembled fatbike: €149.00
  • Return of accessories or parts: €5.95
  • Additional costs for incorrect preparation (e.g., not disassembled or poorly packaged): €25.00

Return Conditions

A fatbike, accessory, or part is eligible for return if it is in new condition, complete (including battery, charger, both keys, and any other accessories), and returned in its original, intact packaging. Valid proof of purchase is also required. The condition of the packaging and the product is recorded by our delivery service upon delivery via photos and checked upon return. For fatbikes, there may be a maximum of 5 kilometers ridden.

Defects, damage, or incorrect deliveries upon arrival must be reported within 24 hours via https://www.fatbikeklaar.nl/pages/service. Notifications after this period will not be processed, unless legally required.

Upgradable Products (Displays, Controllers, Tuning Kits)

Upgradable products — including upgradable displays with a personal code and/or kill switch, upgradable controllers, and complete tuning kits — are excluded from the right of withdrawal once the configuration or activation has been performed. This applies pursuant to Article 6:230p sub f and sub g of the Dutch Civil Code (in Belgium: Article VI.53 WER):

  • These products are configured specifically for your fatbike and/or with a personal code before they are shipped, and therefore qualify as manufactured according to the consumer's specifications.
  • The firmware/software in displays and controllers is activated and personalized by or on your behalf; thus, there is software activated by the consumer, to which the right of withdrawal does not apply.

By ordering an upgradable product, you expressly agree that the right of withdrawal lapses as soon as the product has been configured or activated for you. Unopened, non-activated upgradable products may, in exceptional cases, be returned; this will be assessed on a case-by-case basis by FatbikeKlaar.

Please note: upgrading a fatbike above 25 km/h is not permitted on public roads in the Netherlands and Belgium and is exclusively intended for use on private property. Use on public roads is at the user's own risk and voids the warranty.

Assembly Costs

The costs for making your fatbike ready for use (€50.00) will not be reimbursed in the event of a return or cancellation within 48 hours before delivery. If you choose to have the fatbike delivered assembled, these costs remain your responsibility, even if you return the fatbike or cancel the order within 48 hours before delivery.

Return Instructions

After submitting your return request via our service page and our acceptance, you will receive a date when we will pick up the product, or a return label with detailed instructions for sending your package. For accessories or parts, you will receive a return label. Returns without prior request will not be accepted. Incorrectly packaged or incomplete returns will be refused.

Exceptions to the Right of Return

We cannot accept returns for:

  • Sale items and discounted promotional items (such as Spring Deals).
  • Gift cards.
  • Personalized products.
  • Upgradable products whose configuration or activation has been performed (see above).
  • Products whose hygienic seal has been broken.

Inspection upon Receipt

Inspect your order carefully upon receipt. In case of any defects, damage, or if you have received an incorrect item, report this within 12 hours via https://www.fatbikeklaar.nl/pages/service or via WhatsApp at +31 6 82090642. After this period, complaints will no longer be processed, unless legally required.

Exchange and Refund Procedure

For an exchange, you must first return the original product. After acceptance, you can place a new order. Upon receipt of your return and approval for a refund, the amount due will be credited back to your original payment method within 14 days, or in the form of a gift voucher after deduction of return costs and any depreciation.

Financing Agreement

If FatbikeKlaar has financed the product or if it was purchased through deferred payment (e.g., iDEAL in3 or Klarna), the financing agreement is automatically dissolved as soon as the consumer validly exercises the right of withdrawal.
